Being a retired, single woman, it can be difficult to trust companies these days, so I rely heavily on reviews. The Comfort Authority did not let me down. From the moment I reached out, the communication was outstanding, from scheduling my appointment to receiving text updates about the technician’s arrival. Although, my issue wasn’t fully resolved, the team was extremely helpful. Everyone I interacted with including Ethan, the manager, the technicians, and even the answering service was pleasant, professional, and provided great customer service. I truly appreciate their honesty and effort. Highly recommend! Thank you.

Luis arrived on time, was quick with his assessment, thorough with his explanation, and fixed our issue the same day.

After months of dealing with another AC company that was problematic and unable to correctly identify issues before they became issues, we chose to call The Comfort Authority. Glenn was able to resolve the issue that had taken the other technician 5 hours to try to figure out with no avail, and whom had subsequently, caused a transformer to blew do to improper wiring, which was extremely dangerous and unsafe for our family and home. Glenn was very professional, knowledgeable, and had a great attitude. Again, none of which was experienced with the previous company. He educated us and remained onsite to ensure the issue was fully resolved. As should be expected when working with a business, we were provided with expectations from start to finish, so that nothing would come as a surprise or be executed without our consent. Hopefully, we won’t need to seek out HVAC services anytime soon.

8/5/2025 Luis and Ura installed a leaking coil in my attic. It was a big job and they did it perfectly. Right on time, very efficient, started at 8:30 and finished by 1:00. They did a wonderful job! Rick was right on time and very thorough. Informed and explained each step and offered options. Supplied written reports and pictures. Very well done. 12/15/23 Installed new heat pump on Dec 15 2023. Installation was conducted by Gary Clark, Zack and Peter. The whole job took only 7 hours and was done with minimal inconvenience. Very clean and no damage to the walls or floor. Very well done. The technicians were polite, knowledgeable and competent. Better than I expected, 5 stars all around. 12/20/23 Peter and Zack returned on Dec 20 to check things out and adjust some pressures to maximize the performance. Very prompt service and again, well done, 5 stars 7/26/24 Glenn was on time and kept me informed. Spent wuite a bit of time getting things right. Even had shoe covers. Well done 3/26/25 Had my HVAC system inspected today. Raymond Moudy was early and keep me informed of his early arrival. Job was thorough and done on time with no disruptions. 5 Stars

Wonderful experience from begining to end. Received a quote yesterday and was scheduled for installation today. Every person I have been in contact with has been awesome. Derek who came out first ensured I could understand what was going on and what would happen next. He was also gracious enough to speak to my dad as he had a lot more questions. I never felt pressured and felt like they gave it to me straight and put more thought into what I needed versus trying to upsell me and I always appreciate that. Then Gary and Robert came out for the installation and made the process even better. They were awesome! Came in nice and early and were here a better part of 8 hrs. They were well spoken, super friendly and took me on a tour of my new system before they left. I was honestly dreading having to do this whole process, but everyone involved made it a whole lot easier. Will definitely put in a good word if ever asked in the future. Thank you!

Mr. Glenn Sanchez Betancourt was our technician today for an emergency service call on our air conditioner. He was extremely responsive, answering the call after work hours. His professionalism and expertise were exemplary in every aspect. He was thorough in his assessment, staying focused on the needed repairs and avoiding the sales pitch that everyone typically gets from an emergency AC repair call. I used Google to check the pricing of his repairs and he was on par especially given the responsiveness and his efforts to keep us apprised of the specifics of the repair. This company will be our first call from this point forward.

Today was my first experience with The Comfort Authority. There was no emergency, just a routine maintenance service check. Great communication from the HQ on appt scheduling, Great professional service by the technician (Austin). He found and removed a big wasp nest that had been built inside the compressor housing near the electronics. My unit is 8yrs old but operating excellent and he didn't try to scare me into buying a new system. He did however provide some good options to consider should something go bad, but otherwise I may have 2-10 more good years with this unit. I will use them again.

I have been very pleased with my experiences with the comfort authority over the past 3 years. Last night (Friday) my AC quit on me, of course there was a heat wave on Saturday. Thankfully, a tech (Rick) came out and got us back up and running - sparing us the sauna effect. Rick was fantastic, explained everything to me and was incredibly patient while I wrangled my barking monsters 🐶 🐶

He was incredibly professional and took the time to address all our concerns about our HVAC unit, thoroughly explaining how to make it run more efficiently. What impressed me most was the transparency and focus on our needs. Rick provided four different estimates and even created a custom quote so we got exactly the work we wanted without any pressure. Update 2025: I have continued to use The Comfort Authority to service my AC since installation. The technicians are always prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. This visit Luis performed maintenance and completed everything thoroughly. Luis is professional, informative and a genuine good guy. I’ll continue to use them and recommend this company to others. The Comfort Authority replaced my air conditioner two weeks ago after a bad experience with another company. Everyone at The Comfort Authority was knowledgeable, friendly, seemed to enjoy their jobs and are happy with the company they work for. From the first contact with Derek to the final QC with Peter, they answered all my questions, showed up when they said they would, performed the install and cleaned up afterwords. I was not pressured by Derek for a sale and he worked with me to select the right solution which was installed the next day. A lot of respect for these guys working in the attic for 10 hours, in Florida, in the summer. Justin, Rae and Seth (and Peter and one other person were here for a bit), worked non stop during a long day. They were friendly and explained the process throughout the day. They even brought a portable AC unit for me to use in my home office the day of the install. Overall, this company seems to be efficient, knowledgeable, professional and has trained their team members well. The employees and how they treat their customers make or break a company so hats off to the owner and thanks to: Derek, Peter, Justin, Rae, Seth and Beverly who all represented this company very well. I look forward to continuing a relationship with this company for any AC needs.

My AC stopped working last Friday night and I called right before 5 p.m. I had a call back early the next morning and they were there a couple hours later. Rick H. was very helpful and told me exactly what my options were and what was necessary and what could be done in addition to help prevent further issues. He helped find ways to get me the best deal and showed me what the most reasonable options were to fix the current issues. Overall, excellent experience and will be using them again in the future!

Great group of people. We installed a new A/C system replacing my old 16 year old system. They installed a Goodman system that works great. Goodman has great reviews. The Comfort Authority was recommended by a close friend. After experiencing their service, I see why they have so many 5 Star reviews. Would highly recommend them for all HVAC needs. Austin Smith was fantastic.

Edward & Anthony (plumbers) came out to do annual inspection. Found that my water heater needed maintanence & my bathroom sink that was involved in Hurricane Milton had connections under the sink that had become corroded. Edward gave me an estimate to fix them. They fixed them on the spot! Edward gave me estimates to replace a too small shower and a rusting tub. These estimares were just for pans and tear out, but reasonable comoared to other estimates. Also recommended a warer filtration system and provided an estimate. Austin (AC), came out to do annual maintanence and did a very thorough job on both the inside and outside units. He recommended a UV filtation system. All 3 employees were kind, thorough in their work and explanations. They cleaned up after themselves and listened to my concerns and questions. I am Extremely Happy with Edward, Anthony and Austin's work today. I love the Comfort Authority--truly The Best in my book.

Of particular note was their willingness to provide information about the installation of our unit in layman’s terms. From the moment they arrived until their departure, we were very confident that the job would be done properly, thanks to their demonstrated expertise. Seth and Ren are great assets for the Comfort Company. June 27th Rick is quite an asset to your company. He is personable and committed to providing the highest level of service. He explained everything in a manner that was greatly appreciated by us. It should also be noted that he discussed recommended changes and upgrades in a forthright manner that was neither pushy or patronizing. Finally, in this day and age when many young employees are more interested in getting a paycheck rather than pursuing their craft with pride, Rick is a wonderful exception!!!! With the heat I was worried my AC was not functioning well so I requested a diagnostic visit from comfort authority w. Glenn came out yesterday and was very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything to me and then gave me some quotes I asked for to correct an issue with my vents. Very reasonable quotes. I was very happy with Glenn and would recommend Comfort Authority to anyone needing AC work done June 25th 2025 Just to follow up to my review last year. My AC has not been cooling to the temperature that I have it set at. Tends to warm up in the middle of the day, but reaches the lower temperature overnight. I called comfort Authority to schedule an appointment just to do an investigation into what might be going on. I got an appointment pretty quickly and Austin and Rick came out today, right on time. They spent a significant amount of time and were very thorough in checking everything out. Even though I had CA service the AC earlier this year they still cleaned it out and did some work on it. There was no cost as the AC was under warranty But I have to say both of them were so friendly and professional, and I didn’t feel any pressure to do anything today They did let me know what was wrong with the unit and what my options were. I was very comfortable with that conversation. I definitely feel like they were being very honest and trustworthy. Again, I would highly recommend The Comfort Authority for your air conditioning needs. Especially if they are all like Austin and Rick!

Glenn also came a few days later, on June 13th with new relay which fixed everything. AC working great! Again, 5 stars for Glenn, because he is a 5 star kind of guy....professional, polite, engaging! 2025 Update: Comfort Authority continues to provide friendly and great service. Seth was extremely helpful and explained what the problem was and how it was going to be fixed and was patient with all the questions I had. Update. Continue to use Comfort Authority for annual maintenance. Had a bad clog in drain and was able to clean out and gave options for fix. Appreciate the diligence and communication Michael provided. I had an A/C company cancel on me and called Comfort Authority. They were able to come in an hour and diagnose and fix the problem. They were thorough in explaining their process and what needed to be fixed and upfront with the costs beforehand.

Mike was right on time. He explained and showed me the problem. Also said that the uv lights needed to be replaced. He showed me the upper light was burned out and that it was causing mold. The technician, Glenn, was awesome. He went far and beyond... He got rid of a wild animal's caca in the backyard and he called later in the day when I was freaking out because my AC wasn't pausing after maintenance. He said that is normal due to the AC not working the previous day. He was right. My AC paused two hours after he called. It took 9 hours to reach 75 degrees in the house. Glenn called the next day to make sure all was ok. Thank you Glenn!

Luis came to check out our AC system. He let us know he was on the way. He was very professional and even wore protective foot covering into the house. Once he completed his diagnostic, he let us know what the issue was , providing pictures and videos, so we knew exactly what he was speaking about. He made recommendations on the steps to take and gave us several quotes for different scenarios. We had a different company out the day before and the experience was extremely different. The other company left us unsure and uncomfortable with their diagnosis. This is why we asked Comfort Authority come. A friendly face and knowledge goes a long way.

Chris came to give a maintenance check to our 10 yr old A/C unit. He was extremely thorough and showed us photos of the problem areas and replaced or repaired what was needed.We were very pleased with the work and the fee that was charged We will definitely be using this business in the future.

My a/c has not been cooling things down so I knew something was terribly wrong. I called The Comfort Authority because they had originally installed my a/c system in my house. They sent out the technician Glenn Betancourt to assess my issue. He found the issue pretty fast, a fried circuit board inside my air handler. He explained everything in detail and that they would need to order the circuit board to come in so he can follow up with the repair. He was very professional and to be honest, I have never had any issues on service with The Comfort Authority and would fully recommend this company.

Air conditioners cost alot so you want to be confident about the quality of your equipment, how it's installed, and how it's maintained. The Comfort Authority delivers on all 3 of these issues and they made the purchase of my new AC an easy and seamless experience from start to finish.

My tech David Hood was very professional and efficient. He took time to fully explain everything to me. He identified dangerous mold within our air conditioning system that has been the cause of constant sickness of my little ones for the past three months. He installed the necessary UV and filtration systems necessary to kill off the mold and restore air quality to our home. Not cheap… but we’ll worth the price.

Luis came to my house and inspected both the inside and outside components of my A/C unit because I was worried that there might be an issue. Luckily, there was no issue! I have been using The Comfort Authority for about 7 years and they always make sure the unit continues to run smoothly.

We were very happy with the service provided by Luis from The Comfort Authority. We'd been having problems with the wiring on our thermostat, and he fixed the wiring, and also helped us with another issue we had that he found while doing his inspection. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly - and completed all the work on the same day. We hope to see Luis again for our yearly inspection :).

Rick was right on time and very thorough. Informed and explained each step and offered options. Supplied written reports and pictures. Very well done. 12/15/23 Installed new heat pump on Dec 15 2023. Installation was conducted by Gary Clark, Zack and Peter. The whole job took only 7 hours and was done with minimal inconvenience. Very clean and no damage to the walls or floor. Very well done. The technicians were polite, knowledgeable and competent. Better than I expected, 5 stars all around. 12/20/23 Peter and Zack returned on Dec 20 to check things out and adjust some pressures to maximize the performance. Very prompt service and again, well done, 5 stars 7/26/24 Glenn was on time and kept me informed. Spent wuite a bit of time getting things right. Even had shoe covers. I have never been as pleased with a AC company as I was with The Comfort Authority. They were the most professional company I have done business with since moving to Florida over four years ago. Everyone associated with The Comfort Authority was on time and took extreme pride in their work. All the way from Derek who came out and went over all my options to Peter, Frank, Justin, Rae and Andre who installed my AC units. I will never use another AC company besides The Comfort Authority.

Comfort Authority was great! I got service within hours of reaching out about my HVAC system not working. After helping to correctly reinstall a nightmare of an air handler situation, the technician was able to diagnose and fix the issue. Chase was super thorough and up-front about the costs, and his friendly manner put me at ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to call this company again for service.

Based on the very high reviews on Yelp, I hired The Comfort Authority to come take a look at my non-functioning air conditioner. They have been nothing short of spectacular! I have seen only a few businesses with such solid communication systems in place in any service industry. Every single person has been extremely prompt and professional. I called on a Monday afternoon and talked to the receptionist then dispatcher whose names I forgot unfortunately, and they had technician Josh call me immediately to discuss specifics about my problem. Josh arranged for the on site technician James to come the very next morning. Being a novice when it comes to HVAC, James clearly showed me exactly why my system was failing due to multiple issues with my 12 year old system. He gave me options to discuss a repair or have a salesperson come talk about replacement. He did not try to pressure me into a new system at all even knowing my system was dead. I chose a new system obviously based on the age of my unit. James called Josh to arrange for salesperson Derick to come over and Derick arrived before James had packed up and left. It was literally less than three minutes. Derick and I walked through my entire house because he wanted to see all my rooms and vents and hear about my cooling complaints and issues in each room. He explained interesting and helpful things like how additions to existing structures often have difficulty with heating and cooling and that based on the size of my home and my preferred temperature that my electric bill should never be over $200 (which it often is during Summer). We looked at the compressor outside and he explained all the pieces and parts and what they each do. He told me all the changes in equipment I would see inside and out with the new system. Derick did not try to upsell me on any single component. He explained how all the units in the US are manufactured and that the basic differences are in the quality of installation. He assured me that the bells and whistles (continuous UV, surge protection, duct sanitization, new thermostat, etc.) were optional and that they could be added later on if I so desired. Derick was not a typical salesman. He was more interested in making me a happy customer than he was trying to increase the bottom line of the sale. He was honest and told me that The Comfort Authority was not the cheapest HVAC contractor (they shoot for a 10% profit vs. 30-40% like some other companies) but that they strive to be the best. It's pretty obvious that their mission has been accomplished. Derick added on the $500+ vent sanitization at no cost because he wanted me to have clean ducts to go along with my new system. The service techs Seth and Bryan came to install my new system the very next day and they were wonderful. They worked nonstop all day in my hot house without even a bathroom or lunch break. They were very pleasant and accommodating and concerned about not disrupting me. Before they left their very personable quality control tech Peter came to check off on their work. This company and its employees are top notch. They even have a system in place where you receive a text prior to their employees' arrival telling you and showing you a photo of who is coming along with a personal bio about them. For example, Derick doesn't like to wear matching socks! This is such a nice touch and I truly have not seen better customer service from any company. Seth, Bryan and Peter left no trace behind them and best of all, my entire house was cool in less than 5 minutes of them flipping the switch. I truly could not give this company a higher recommendation. Please don't call anyone else. Call The Comfort Authority!

First time customer and very satisfied. The service was prompt and excellent with a careful explanation of exactly what the problem was with the ac unit and how to fix it with several different options offered. Just had Comfort Authority install a new system in a 10-year old house we bought recently. The old system worked but poorly. Derek fully explained the problem and the options for updating the system. In fact, he was knew the name of the existing unit before he even saw it because he had done extensive repairs in the neighborhood. Given the clarity of Derek’s explanation of our options and the pricing, we immediately decided to go with Comfort and had a new system installed by the end of the day. The installers were very professional and clean and kept us informed of their progress. New system works like a charm!

I really appreciate the communication and responsiveness of this company. They do offer some upsells but they are not pushy about it. One is a reasonable membership (especially for Florida) that could be beneficial to lots of households. I wish I had purchased my AC from them rather than AND air service through Home depot. That company was a nightmare. If you are deciding between the two, go w comfort authority.

Needed service on 3/20 and another great job, this time by Raymond. was on time, comfort authority responded quickly and very thorough explanation of issues. needed a minor fix the next day and came first thing in the morning. I had a good experience with Comfort Authority. They were cost neutral, prompt, polite, and cleaned up. But what really set them apart was when they talked me out of buying a more expensive system. I planned to buy a variable stage AC. It’s around $15k. The salesperson, Derek, shared the poor experiences of other customers who installed the system and downsold me to a standard single stage system at half the price. Since the system was installed this week, I cannot comment on its reliability but I can say that I trust Comfort Authority to do what’s right for their customers.

Luis showed up on time for our annual service and spent a good amount of time checking all parts of our system. He recommended a few upgrades which I am considering. Great service as always from The Comfort Authority!

I had new flooring installed, and the flooring company didn’t properly install the toilet back into the bathroom.So once I noticed there was a problem I was in search for a plumber and then remembered at the Comfort Authority, who has done amazing work for our air conditioning, also does plumbing. I reached out and they sent Ryan to my home the next day and he did a great job at quickly finding out exactly where the leak was coming from and fixing it. Ryan has tons of experience in plumbing, and I will be sure to request him to come out the next time, God forbid I have a plumbing issue in the future. Your technician, Raymond, worked proficiently and was knowledgeable in answering my questions . Along with doing the Spring Service he noticed some wire connections that were loose and tightened those. Raymond also made several suggestions to insure longer life of my A/C unit, namely adding a surge protector.
