This was a new company for us. We wanted a different opinion on our complex system. We were BLOWN AWAY at the thoroughness of Joshua. He took his time well into the evening. Their pricing was well below what I know other companies charge and there was no pressure as different options were explained and the decision was left to us. This company is highly recommended.

Demmar "D" was a fantastic tech who handled our annual AC servicing! He was incredibly friendly, polite, and informative. He put on shoe covers without having to ask (which I always greatly appreciate!), and gave us some great tips to better maintain our unit. Would definitely use The Comfort Authority again and highly recommend Demmar!

07/09/24 My ac stopped working last nite. I called Comfort Authority early this morning and the tech was here within 3 hours. Chase Prather was able to find and fixed the issue right away. He was very helpful and extremely great to work with. It turned out that the part and labor were under warranty so it was fixed at no cost. I took the opportunity to install a surge protector for the unit which Chase installed immediately. Thanks Chase, you were great. Thank you Comfort Authority for always delivering great service. Forgot to state previously how great David Hood was. Showed up on time and had the ac working right away. He explained everything he was doing step by step explained how it could be avoided in the future with very helpful tips. Great service! Mr. Hood was a class act all the way. 6/16/22 Another great experience with Comfort Authority tech, Christopher Basso. He could not have been more helpful,courteous, respectful and understanding. Not only did he fixed a difficult issue to diagnose but he came back as promised when a few hours after he left the ac acted up again. He fixed that and stayed until he made sure nothing else would show up. Great tech and a great person with a fantastic attitude. As usual, Comfort Authority delivered!

We recently hired The Comfort Authority to install 2 new air conditioning systems in our 1926 St. Petersburg, FL. home. It was a huge, multi-faceted, and time-consuming project as three rooms didn't have any AC vents, while all other rooms had vents that were too small for the amount of air being blasted through. This caused the old system to be extremely loud. (It was also completely inefficient as the temperature never went below 80 degrees Fahrenheit.) My husband being a general contractor, we knew from our very first consultation that we were dealing with trustworthy professionals. And now that the project is complete, we simply cannot say enough good things about the entire experience, especially about our outstanding technician, Peter Bates. Considering the extent of the work, the installation and construction involved went incredibly smoothly. Peter and his team arrived on time and worked diligently to get everything set up inside and outside our home. They were so respectful of our property, ensuring minimal disruption and cleaning up thoroughly after themselves every day. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of Peter's work, from the planning and precise placement of the units and new ducts to the careful handling of all new and old components. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the service Peter and, ultimately, The Comfort Authority provided. The company is obviously committed to excellence, which, thanks to Peter's expertise and super friendly and professional demeanor, truly sets them apart. So, if you're looking for an air conditioning service that delivers top-notch quality and customer care on big and small projects, look no further. My outdated AC broke down on Sunday and I reached out late that night. The comfort authority responded right away Monday morning and had someone out to my house by noon to set everything up. Derek was thorough and addressed all my concerns and questions and talked me through the details and benefits/costs of the various options and equipment they offered. Once we signed the agreement an appointment for install was lined up immediately and the process was very easy to fit in my busy schedule. By Tuesday morning, I was given plenty of advanced notice that installers Cameron and Ren were on their way. They clearly talked me through what I had selected with Derek the previous day and confirmed all that would be done. By end of day they had removed the old equipment and dealt with some unexpected issues very well and I was left with a clean home and yard, and a well functioning AC. Overall, the group at comfort authority has been very prompt, honest, agreeable, and easy to work with. They also took the time to make sure I understood and was comfortable each step in the process and were not pushy. I highly recommend comfort authority for anyone dealing with AC issues.

Our technician arrived on time, and even called in advance to let us know he was on his way. The dispatch team kept us updated on the time of arrival prior to his call. The technician greeted us and explained in great detail what he was going to inspect and about how long it would take. After a very thorough review he provided us with several options to repair or enhance out system. Service technician Eric W did an outstanding job of performing the annual service our system. He explained everything thoroughly and left us feeling confident in our decisions. Can’t say enough about how wonderful the people are at this company. Will definitely be purchasing a new system from them when the time comes.

Contacted them on a Saturday morning, Luis was at our house about 2 hours later. Great customer service from start to finish. Luis was super kind, helpful, and walked me through everything. Fixed one unit and serviced two others. Really couldn’t ask for a better experience. We found our new team.

Needed A/C fixed on a 90 degree plus day and they came out promptly and did a great job. Luis Menendez was terrific.

Really appreciate the way Comfort Authority technicians show up on time for appointments. The communication via text to confirm and update arrival time is awesome! Had routine maintenance today and Frank Basso did a thorough job! Appreciate him informing me of options available (air purification system, maintenance program) without it turning into a hard sell session. Comfort Authority has earned my trust! Update - Unit stopped running so Comfort Authority came out to repair. Same great communication by the office staff and technician. Arrived on time, and repair done (needed a capacitor).

UPDATE 5: TRUST! One of their techs accidentally damaged part of the system causing some water damage. Comfort Authority made it right! TRUST! UPDATE 4: New problem in system resolved professionally by Glenn B, once again. UPDATE 3: AC shutdown due to the algae crap that builds up. GLENN B. showed up on time. A true pro. Troubleshoot and repaired and then function testing to verify the solution was effective and likely to be long lasting. Give him a raise! UPDATE 2: Still 5 stars. Consistent quality and expertise! UPDATE. Still a strong 5 Stars. The AC shutdown and I called them late. They said it would probably be in the morning but Chris arrived and rapidly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. Great communication with the dispatcher and Chris was also competent, efficient, effective and great at explaining what was wrong and options. Drew, Peter, and Seth are the epitome of a professional team. They had to disassemble the old air handler to get it out through a very narrow entry. They had to disassemble the new unit to get it into the ceiling and then reassemble it. Replaced the condenser too. Tough job done well. No mess left behind and no collateral damage of any kind. They are my top choice. Teamwork, technical expertise and huge work ethic.

The original installation was great and the first service call was fast and excellent. Susie knew her stuff and got right to the heart of the issue. She showed me what she had to do to get my unit running properly and sold me on a preventative maintenance plan that would have caught this issue earlier. Wonderful A/C repair experience! Update 11/2/2023 They replaced a unit at my rental condo and did an awesome job!!! Awesome experience for me and my renters. We were all very impressed and please with the excellent quality service and professional knowledge. Thanks William Taylor!!! Update 6/29/2024 Wow! Glenn is awesome. He was in and out quickly, and he did everything he promised and some extra as always! I am at peace with my A/C because I have Comfort Authority and great service providers like Glenn. 5 star service as always!!!

We had our annual inspection/tune-up today and our technician was Demarr. He was very thorough and explained everything in detail that we could easily understand. He was also very professional, friendly, polite, and respectful of our property. It was a great experience and we hope he’s our technician for future calls.

Chase Prather did an xcellent job servicing my HVAC. He was prompt, professional and laid out all other optional services available. He was very friendly and took the time to answer all the questions I had. I would highly recommend Comfort Authority for quality HVAC service. Had a problem with the AC in June. Chase returned with another tech Louis. Everything was excellent again. On time and professional. Open to questions and the pics and video were very helpful in showing me what the problem was and that they would be on file for future servicing. Highly recommend this company.

My parents are snowbirds and have a condo in Tampa that they only live in half the year. I went to check on it on a Friday and noticed the AC wasn’t working. Comfort Authority was able to get Mike out the next day to diagnose the issue. He found a blown fuse from a recent storm and replaced it, but he also noticed the coolant in the system was very low. Upon further inspection he determined there was a leak at the outside unit. He explained what a repair would entail and the cost. He was also able to get Derek from the sales team to come out the same day and give us a quote on a new unit so we could weigh our cost options. In the end, we decided on a new unit. The team was able to schedule the install the next day. Gary and Ren were our install team. They showed up promptly the next morning, explained the process and the paperwork and then started the install. They wore booties inside and kept the home very clean. Once completed, they walked us through the new system to make sure we understood everything. All of the Comfort Authority staff was courteous and pleasant. They made a very unfortunate event a little more bearable.I would highly recommend Comfort Authority.

The Comfort Authority is such a great company. We have used their services for new duct work, a new AC unit and all of our service needs. Today their technician, Eric Winegardner, came out to tend to our service call and I couldn’t be more pleased. He is a friendly face and he never had any hesitation in answering any questions I had. The Comfort Authority has been our ‘go-to’ contractor of choice for maintenance now for 4 years. Our 14 year old Trane unit finally reached the end of it’s operational lifespan yesterday. TCA got us a quote, financing and installation in less than 24 hours. The new unit outperforms the old. We are delighted.

The Comfort Authority was fantastic! I called and spoke with Kalyn who was extremely helpful. She was able to get us a same day diagnostic appointment. The gentlemen who did the inspection, James, explained everything, including pictures and videos of the problems. He presented several replacement and repair options with a variety of price points. There was no hassle or pressure, just guidance. Loved it! In our case, it made sense to replace. Our new system was installed two days later by Peter and Adrian. Very hard working, friendly, considerate and knowledgeable gentlemen. In 90-100 degree heat, these guys never quit, maintained a positive/happy attitude and completely cleaned up once they were done the installation. I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to anyone with A/C problems. UPDATE 10/27/22 Clogged drain pipe caused system to shut off overnight. Chris D came first thing in the morning and got us back up and running again in no time! Thanks again! UPDATE 6/17/2024 Had a faulty safety switch. Chase P. came by and diagnosed the problem quickly and documented the entire system with pictures. Great service, super polite and treats your home with care.

Derek was an amazing consultant. Laid out every option, answered every question. Pleasant, professional, and courteous. The very next day at 9 AM the install techs, Seth and Josh showed up and in 5-6 hours had removed the old compressor, air handler and thermostat and installed the new equipment which looks great and runs perfectly. All 3 guys were great to work with. The Comfort Authority had done several installs for family, they were highly recommended and now I would do the same. Great work! Great customer service! Derek came to my house the same day and did a great job of explaining my options without trying to sell me things I didn’t need. I was astonished when he told me they could perform the work the following morning. Gary and Josh were very courteous and professional and worked together efficiently. The work was done by the end of the day despite a few curveballs from my old house. Highly Recommended.

I had Chase and his trainee come out to my house to take a look at my AC. I have to say customer service is excellent. When chase and his partner came to my house they were very professional and explained everything to me on what was going on. They gave me several options for the repair. Unfortunately I didn’t end up going with the initial repair cost because the company was not sure when the parts would come in. No fault of Chase and his trainee they were excellent.
