Our Story
As unusual as it may sound, The Comfort Authority came about out of necessity. In our years in the air conditioning business we learned a lot, and more importantly, we learned a lot about how to do things RIGHT. We learned that many people know how to fix, sell, and replace air conditioners but very few know about real “air conditioning”, climate control and air quality.
Air conditioning should:
Maintain suitable humidity in all parts of a building- Free the air from excessive humidity during certain seasons
- Supply a constant and adequate supply of ventilation
- Efficiently cool room air during certain seasons
- Heat or help heat the rooms in winter
- Be an apparatus that is not cost-prohibitive in purchase or maintenance

In our time in the air conditioning service industry there have been a lot of things we have seen done in people’s homes that do not fit any part of the above definition. We realized that in order to provide air conditioning, the service provider has to be focused on the customer’s needs and wants which will ultimately allow the provider to understand the customer’s true concerns and provide them with practical solutions.
In an epiphany of sorts, we finally understood that to truly focus on the customer experience and truly provide air conditioning we would have to do it ourselves because we didn’t feel there were any air conditioning companies with owners or managers that would support our beliefs. Now we answer directly to those most important to us, which is you, our customers.

This company was first rate. My system went down over a weekend. I contacted them Monday and got a quote. Derek sat down with me and went over all the details. He represented it perfectly and we had the system installed by Tuesday. The work was done incredibly well and efficient by Gary Clark and his team. They made sure not to rush and did not leave until everything was executed in the correct manner. The home inspector today verified the work and everything is working to an optimum level. I could not recommend this company more for the professionalism and quality of workmanship. Alyssa of the Comfort Authority-Tampa conducted an annual hvac inspection on june 2. She showed me videos of the maintenance performed and gave 3 reasonable options for additional work needed. Alyssa is very professional and friendly. I recommend her work very highly.

Problems with your a/c never happen when there’s pleasant weather….. This morning, I woke up to 78 degrees in my house. I called the Comfort Authority because I knew they did a lot of work in my neighborhood and the technician, Darian, was at my home before 11:00am. He was very professional and respectful, took care of the repair and service - and my house is cooling! Very happy!
